EYAT Mining & Exploration was established in 2005, this young division is still struggling to make its presence and contribution to the mother company, in the field of minerals. The Eyat concession for gold and associated metals is located in the South Blue Nile State.

The following are the operations of this division:

	Regional study of remote sensing information; satellite and air photographs to give the main features globally associated with mineralization.
	Perusing of old reports on the area as well as adjacent regions so as to see the position of the Concession relative to the known gold belts.
	Taking of Soil, rock chip and trench samples for chemicals analysis of gold and associated elements.

Planned follow-up work

	Geological mapping: to be raised to deposit level to aid in detailed sampling, at scales of 1:2000 to 1:5000.
	Drilling: to gain more information for visualizing the subsurface shape, attitude, size and composition of the primary gold ore indicated by rock chip sample results
	Trenching: for checking on subsurface lateral extents of the quartz veins.
	Rock chip sampling: to be continued in some parts not yet covered.
	Placer sampling: by pitting, trenching and logging, for elucidating the thickness of the overburdens and those of the placer layers would be particularly ;important for exploitation purposes. The gold particle size distribution as well as the physical composition of the placer material and grade will be studied for efficient placer gold recovery.

Mining & Exploration Projects

The work done by this division has highlighted areas of potential gold ores, primary as well as secondary. All that is needed is to carry out further systematic work for estimating the possible ore reserves upon which feasibility studies would be based.

The potential ore zones are fairly large, rich and close to each other, therefore would be advisable to pursue to an economical conclusion.
